Eberhardt-Martin cc (EBM) was founded in 1967 to bring innovative and cost effective products to the electrical industry.  Since its inception several new products have been introduced to the Southern African market.  Some of these being Aerial Bundle Conductors, Voltage sensing sectionalizes, Vacuum Interrupters and Premoulded Cable Terminators.

Eberhardt-Martin is the sole Southern African distributor for several leading European and American Manufactures.  Includes WH Salsbury, Joslyn, Hastings, Klauke and others.

Joslyn is a company with whom Eberhardt-Martin has been associated with for over 20 years.  Eberhardt-Marin introduced Joslyn products into Southern Africa.  Joslyn manufactures the most complete range of surge arrestors in the world.  From electronic arrestors up to 765kv station class.  From porcelian housed to polymer housed.  A wide range of these arrestors is stocked by EBM.  Joslyn is also a leading manufacturer of specialised vacuum switchgear.  The Joslyn VBT and VBM range of vacuum switches has been widely used in Southern Africa for arc furnace switching and capacitor bank switching.  The unique voltage sensing reclosing sectionalizer has also been widely used in South Africa.  Joslyn have recently introduced the state of the art auto recloser.

Aerial Bundle Conductors were introduced to Southern Africa by Eberhardt-Martin in 1981. Since that time the use of bundle conductors has grown considerably and there are now many different variations of the type in use.  EBM has the widest range of fittings available from Insulated Neutral Systems, Uninsulated Neautral Systems and Self Supporting Systems.  The EBM ABC fuse switches is a cost effective protective solution for ABC lines.
